Land Access Ltd.
Land Access regularly carries out research for national organisations such as Defra, Countryside Council for Wales, Forestry Commission and the former Countryside Agency and English Nature (now both part of Natural England). By their nature, these tend to be larger research projects where Land Access will work as part of a team in an expert consortium.
We have also carried out research for regional bodies such as the Chilterns Conservation Board and various local authorities. For example, we have undertaken an extensive study of access to woodlands within the AONB.
We also supply research services to individuals and groups, perhaps looking into particular aspects of rights of way history or to provide the background for policy development.
Land Access has a successful track record in designing schemes for the development of new access opportunities, often with a heritage and/or disabled access theme. Land Access can survey, design, specify and project manage your access infrastructure works, whether on footpaths, bridleways or byways. In particular, we have a lot of recent experience of shared use paths for walking, cycling and horse riding.
A lot of our work is funded by our clients through grant applications: We can use our experience of seeking grant aid to help ensure that your application has maximum chance of success. If you have an access project in mind and you need to apply for a grant; we can help.
Rights of Way Improvement Plans must be completed by November this year. If you need help with yours, contact us at office@landaccess.co.uk
